Thanks Connie. I love your orientation. You’re so thoughtful. Another reader forwarded it on already and I’ve had a lovely email back.

You celebrate your groups here with such love and joy, Juliet. I love a good group! I have yoga, writing , book, community garden and Food Forest groups in my life as well as several online groups where we share our responses to the times we are in and dreams. Also a newly formed totally delightful group in Substack I host with Julia Adzuki focused on projects we are cooking up in response to eco crisis. Am never short of great conversations but would like a music making group. Your ukele ensemble sounds so delightful!

I love hearing about your groups Sally. I think we’re inspiring each other! I spent 20 years first as an organic grower then farmer. I miss having my hands in the soil. Your stories of your forest garden community have me keeping my ears and eyes open for something like that, community based here.

I too have a writing group and we meet in person which I love. They are wonderful and we critique each other’s fiction. It’s such a privilege to be trusted with their work.

Your Substack based group sounds wonderful. I’m finding Substack such a fertile place to connect and grow.

Yes to music making. I have friends who love drumming. My Mum shared with me research she’d heard about that says how so many parts of the brain light up when we hear or make music. Today at ukulele practice tears spilled out, grief, released by the music. Seems I needed the music to let it out. We kept playing. I didn’t want to stop! Thank you for stopping by!

I remember how touched I was the first time I heard you singing on a recording you shared. You too know the power of music. I gather there is all kinds of research to show how music lights up all different parts of the brain. What an incredible creation music is.
